Our Special Thank Yous

Our Special Thank yous

We would like to congratulate our treasurer, Chris Farthing and his son, Andy who took part in the Tour de Mon around Anglesey on 18th August. They completed the route in 7 hours and 34 minutes with an average speed of 14mph. So far, they have raised £1235 for The Toy House and the money continues to roll in. A big thank you and a gigantic well done from The Toy House team. What an achievement!

We would like to thank Lorraine Ryan, a local businesswoman, who owns Diamond Cleaning Company. Lorraine’s clients were asked to nominate a charity they would like to support, and Lorraine organised a raffle for her customers. We are delighted to announce that they chose The Toy House and Lorraine raised a grand total of £120 for us.

Our amazing volunteer, Victoria hosted a stall at the Alexandra Park car boot sale. Unfortunately, the poor Manchester weather resulted in the car boot sale being ‘rained off’ and the stalls had to close early. However, Victoria still managed to raise £110.70 for our charity. Thank you, Victoria, for your continuing dedication.

Summer Activities at The Toy House

What have we been up to?

Hello,

We hope you all had a lovely summer! Our summer has certainly been busy.

On Sunday 28th July, we held our annual Family Fun Fest in conjunction with Radio Millennium Masons. What a wonderful day we had! From cream teas to a tombola to lots of activities for the children- we all had a fun filled day. We would like to say a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers for all their help on the day. The Toy House team would like to say a big thank you for all who braved the rain and joined in the fun. Despite the weather, we successfully raised over £1,000.

We were recently involved in the Tatton Park Flower Show. Alongside Wellacre Academy, we helped in the creation of a caterpillar lifecycle garden. It was such an exciting project to be a part of. Our fabulous volunteers created caterpillar eggs. A special shout out to Victoria and Jenny who created 41 caterpillars. Victoria represented The Toy House at the flower show.
