Welcome back to our volunteers

We’re looking forward to 17th May when we welcome our fabulous volunteers back to The Toy House.

Since Christmas we have been keeping in touch by phone, text, zoom or through windows but you can’t beat meeting in person and chatting to your friends in a relaxed environment.  Although they have not been attending The Toy House our volunteers have been busy supporting the charity working from home, checking newly donated items, sorting jigsaw puzzles and preparing crafts ready for our visitors.

We’re also really pleased to be welcoming some new volunteers who come with a multitude of talents that they are going to share with the team.  Initially, Monday is going to be dedicated to running a Social Enterprise Scheme for our volunteers who attend under the Volunteering for Success scheme. We will teach and learn together making items to sell which will create revenue for our Charity whilst illustrating to our volunteers how to run a mini business.

There will be lots of opportunities to meet our volunteers as they will also be supporting and interacting at all the other sessions throughout the week.
