Well, what a year! First of all, we want to thank all our wonderful visitors and friends attending our various sessions. Lots of memories were created whilst having so much fun.

However, as the summer sun shone it was evident that lots of toys had been bashed against our walls and the garden was a wee bit overgrown. In fact, we needed a complete makeover.

This was certainly true during our ‘Caring For Each Other’ session! Our wonderful little visitors gave our dolls a fun-filled bath time and a fabulous makeover. Each doll was lovingly cared for and looked after. There were lots of bubbles everywhere and plenty of cuddles given! The children had lots of fun whilst learning how to care for their doll.

The trip idea began when a member of our social walking group mentioned that they would like to go. I thought why don’t we ask our hardworking volunteers as a celebration for all their hard work, plus it was a chance to have some fun! We had 19 very excited people ages ranging from 14 to 82 years old eager to attend

As the song lyrics go “When good neighbours become good friends” and that is certainly the case for the residents of Hartford Road.
